What we believe

Statement of Faith

We believe:

  1. In the divine inspiration and infallibility of the Old and New Testaments in their original manuscripts. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
  2. In the existence of one living and true God, that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit – the same in essence and equal in attributes. (Matthew 28:19, John 10:30)
  3. In the miraculous virgin birth and the absolute deity of the Lord Jesus Christ; in His sacrificial substitutionary death on the cross of Calvary to make atonement for sin by shedding His precious blood, once for all; in His bodily resurrection; in his ascension to heaven and His intercession for the saints at the right hand of the Father; and in His visible bodily return. (Luke 1:34-35, Acts 1:1-11, 1 John 2:2)
  4. In the personality, deity, and power of the Holy Spirit. (John 16:8-11)
  5. In the creation of Man in holiness and his subsequent Fall through willful disobedience resulting in his sinful nature and inability to redeem himself. (Genesis 1:26, 31, Genesis 3, Romans 5:12, Ephesians 2:1-2)
  6. In the redemption and salvation of sinners by grace through faith alone. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:3-7)
  7. In the full and free forgiveness of all sins of those who repent and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior and are thereby regenerated, born of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 6:23, Romans 10: 9-11)
  8. In the believer’s dependence on the Holy Spirit to live a victorious life of obedience and sanctity. (Romans 8:1-13, Galatians 5:16-26)
  9. That the Lord prescribed for His disciples the rite of believer’s baptism as a symbol and proclamation of a sinner’s death to sin and his resurrection to newness of life. (Matthew 28:19-20, Romans 6:3-5)
  10. That our Lord and Savior prescribed for His believing disciples the solemn rite of the Lord’s Supper as a memorial of the Lord’s death to be kept by His disciples until He comes again, according to His promise and the Father’s revealed plan. (1 Corinthians 11:23-27)
  11. In the bodily resurrection of the dead, both the believing righteous and the disbelieving unrepentant; one to eternal glory in the presence of God; the other to eternal damnation and separation from God. (John 5:28-29, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Acts 24:15, Revelation 20:12-15)
